It’s a sad story when a customer has an entire watch collection stolen but nice to hear when they ask to repurchase their Schofield watch. The difficulty arises when the watch stolen was one of a limited edition that has long sold out. This presents both us and the customer with a conundrum: should we try and remake the lost edition or should we categorically say it cannot be done and advise that a watch from a current range should be bought in its stead? In this instance the customer wanted something similar to his original Signalman so we were left searching through an archive of colour proofs and samples to find that we could make this one-off Signalman Two Blacks and recompense his loss. And how completely awesome is that!
