We were very kindly invited by our friends at Skolorr (pronounced scholar) to attend an evening of British finery at the Devonshire Club yesterday evening and we can’t boast enough about the quality of the night. The Devonshire Club is new on the Shoreditch scene and it doesn’t disappoint as a quality venue. Rich and inviting settings became the backdrop to some interesting conversations with potential new members to our Club, some of which we hope will have already signed up to read our Pips. British brands such as sculptor Agnetha Sjögren and luxury cobbler Cheaney Shoes were our kinfolk for the event, but at the heart of it were Skolorr and most importantly Sky Sit, their founding lady. Skolorr’s incredible online watch collection, which champions independent brands, is no newbie to the game and Sky Sit, who originally hails from Hong Kong and also writes a column for Europa Star is truly a leader in her field.
