The Best Carbon Fibre watch ever. The Schofield Blacklamp

More on the Skeptiko, The BBC & Graphic Design | No. 576

Evening all! It has been a graphic design week. Just an example of the cards that go in the Woolwich made, stapled boxes that sit atop the watch box proper. This is the rear of the welcome card, a new vibe for a new era!

The modified peace sign has evolved into a signature of sorts – mainly for my art and graphic design and used interchangeably with Mr E. So, I’m signing stuff now. Here I am saying thank you because you bought a watch πŸ™‚

Buoys Club updates again. The treasure sold but another part of the Skeptiko story has surfaced – Read on!

BTW. For those without permission to enter the BC – here is the Introduction…

You are invited to join when you are given, buy, steal or inherit a Schofield watch.

For years we have furnished this page with bounty not available to the general public; books, straps, memorabilia, boxes, buckles and limited-edition watches. We have given insight on new developments, showcased new designs and invited members to events way before the riff-raff get eyes on it πŸ™‚

The content is always changing so come and check back soon. Also, the stuff listed may move on quickly, we are not flexing but suggesting you don’t dilly-dally, you know, to avoid disappointment.

I do not really think any of you are riff-raff. I’m just highlighting the exclusivity of the club and pointing out that Schofield is waaaaaaaay more than watches.

My teaching begins again in September but the University told me I had to reapply. A further insult was they wanted a CV. I have not written a CV since I was 17 (I still have this but it is too embarrassing to read). This chore highlights some of my distant past that has contributed, no doubt, to Schofield. Let me take you there…

Do you remember the French and Saunders Alien chest burst scene? I filled condoms with fake blood and set the charges. Not only that, I pressed the button to make the effect happen. How cool is that! I worked at the BBC in Wardrobe but did a brief stint in Special Effects.

I did a few years with Russ Abbot, Bobby Davro, The Royal Variety Performance and Stars in their Eyes before moving to Top of the Pops and Jools Holland. Long nights watching bands and keeping peeps looking good.

Specifically of the Blacklamp? This is something I was pondering – if the BLII was a reality which bits are worth carrying through? A discussion with Mr B yesterday suggested the record grooves on the dial, coincidentally we will be seeing those again soon on something else.

Perhaps it is the Lume ring but again that is appearing in forthcoming releases. So, the Carbon Fibre then? And as we have said before there is the problem.
