The Telemark, forming the Markers range along with the Daymark and Daymark Dark, is characterised by the one piece, German made stainless steel case. A nail notch milled into the side for pulling out the crown. Dials that feature chapter rings and oversized hands designed for clarity. This is a set of white watches for telling the time!
The Telemark is influenced by the classic war film The Heroes of Telemark which is often cited as one of the best-dressed men’s films of all time.
The white, an obvious starting point, calling on the Norwegian fjords and the persistent snow, contrasts with our first fully numerated dial with a black pixel font reminiscent of Bauhaus design and AEG industrial clocks. Known as a submarine dial it has been designed for low light readability. The hour markers in the chapter ring are black anodised and filled with SuperLumi-Nova C5. The overall asymmetrical dial layout is a reference to the watch Kirk Douglas wore in the movie. The date is notable for being reprinted to read horizontally in the 4:30 position. The surrounding graphic is a modification of the Unicode symbol for a lighthouse (used on the Markers’ crown) but which also resembles a naval contact mine.
Powered by a Swiss movement, ETA 2824, the Telemark is a 3-hander, hours, minutes and seconds and date function. The case has a 44mm diameter with a solid engraved case back. The price shown is with UK VAT, if you are outside of Europe then VAT will be deducted at the checkout.
