All About our Gold Watch

Evening all! Allow me to tell you about our Gold watch – The Gold Treasure Watch. I don’t want you to pass it by just because it’s you know – gold and shiny. There is more to it.

So, we have a couple. You can choose your strap. You can choose what is written on the case back and it now comes in the new Mausoleum cast box.

£3680 in the UK £3067 ROW

This Treasure Watch has a heavy gold-plate over a brass body. Using brass for the gold-plated version visually protects the watch. If you ding it, it’s gold beneath.

The gold X on the case back is formed by bonding a gold-plated brass disc (gold coin) behind the wire-eroded aperture in the multi-stepped stainless-steel part.

Powered with a gilded Automatic ETA 2824, the movement holder is an overbuilt gold anodised aluminium ring. Like the best treasure, it’s hidden. But you know it is there!

For a gold watch you need layers of metallic finishing, gold within gold. and when it wears – it tarnishes. Watches That Weather – this is the Schofield way.

Schofield favours dials that have a clean layout, the Treasure Watch is no exception. It is open and uncluttered and designed for legibility, it features our slash-zero at 12 o’clock and a stepped dial first seen on the Signalman. We have also included a printed luminescent ring around the outer circumference similar to the original Schofield Blacklamp. Using Super-LumiNova C3 with a green emission. These black dials offer high night-time visibility.

The handset features a play on the original Sign-of-Life hand found on some Beater models, here it is a counter poise only, indicating time is passing but without the need for to the second time-telling.

Here we use the same luminescent compound but with a blue emission making things a little more interesting. The hands are brushed gold and match the gold ring in the middle of the crown. Gold and silver treasure throughout. A gold watch for modern styling.
