The Schofield Signalman Bare Bones project. The plan is to make a limited run of these Bare Bones watches, some have dials plated with different precious metals and some have solid German Silver dials. All will be serialised and marked on the case backs with the Rare Things graphic. Schofield branding only appears on the buckles. This watch has a blue dyed rhodium dial and is limited to 10 watches.

These are pre-production artist's proofs and have been built into Signalman cases. A charming quirk and proof of Schofield's watch development is the redundant pusher button in the side of the case for setting the GMT complication in the classic Signalman models.

This Signalman Bare Bones has a heavy blue-dyed rhodium plated dial, comes on a strap of your choice and in an ash box.

This Schofield Signalman solidifies our Bare Bones project…

We are so enamoured with this concept that we have decided to expand the Signalman range with a classic three-hander. We retained the basic elements of Signalman design and distilled them to what you see here. The dial is a solid brass, precision machined with heavy blue rhodium plating, made by one of the very best dial makers in Switzerland.

The Signalman BB is powered by an Automatic Swiss ETA 2824 movement. Three centre hands and a date window at 3 o’clock.

The watch case that defines the Signalman range is a four-part outer assembly, machined to tolerances not exceeding 0.01mm. This, along with the double gasket screw-in crown, gives the Signalman its unique shape and makes the watch water-resistant to 200 metres. Unlike the classic Signalman models these cases have been media blasted specifically to give a uniform satin finish.

Signalman care

A note on the Signalman characteristics and care: The stainless steel case will mark and scratch over time, especially around the square edge bezel. This is normal and expected. Steel watches are easy to re-finish and we can do this at any time. Please visit our servicing page for more information.

Strap size guide

Schofield watch straps are available in two sizes; regular and long.

Medium/average wrists are covered with both sizes.

The regular sized watch straps are 110mm on the non buckle side and 75 on the buckle side. The long straps are 115mm on the non buckle side and 90mm on the buckle side.

If your wrists are less than 19cm (7.5 inches) in circumference then we suggest you choose a regular length strap. If your wrists are more than 19cm (7.5 inches) in circumference then we suggest a long strap. If your wrists are approximately 19cm in circumference then a longer strap will give more of a tail; most guys opt for a regular sized watch strap with a shorter tail.

When you purchase a Schofield wrist watch please email us your strap size and/or note it in the message box at the checkout.
