By purchasing a Schofield watch through our web shop you are in agreement with our Terms of Business which can be viewed here.

 

 


 

Delivery

 

International items are shipped with DHL, Royal Mail AirSure or other Royal Mail services. Delivery times are 2-4 days for Europe 5-10 days rest of world. Domestic items are shipped with Royal Mail and Royal Mail Special Delivery and generally take 1-3 days.

Schofield products purchased on this Internet site or over the telephone can be delivered anywhere in the world. Shipping is calculated at the checkout. We shall deliver to the shipping address that you provide at the checkout. We cannot deliver to PO Boxes. All watch deliveries are traceable via the carriers websites, the details will be included with your purchase receipt. Parcels must be signed for. Items will be shipped after payment has been received and cleared.

If your package shows outward signs of damage upon delivery, you must open it in the presence of the carrier to check the state of your items. Please notify the carrier of your reservations by writing them on the delivery note, and let us know by email. If delivery is delayed due to any cause beyond our reasonable control, we will notify you. It is your responsibility to report non delivery within 14 days of dispatch. We consider that your parcel has been accepted by you upon delivery to the agreed address confirmed by our courier. Please see our Terms of business (here).


 


 

 

Trial a Watch and Returns

 

If you live in the UK you can try a Schofield watch at home. If you then wish to return it for whatever reason, you can, and you will be refunded in full, so long as the goods are in perfect original condition. We understand that you would like to try our watches on in order to make a purchasing decision. This is why we make it as easy as possible, even if you are uncomfortable using the internet. Buy your watch or accessories through this web-shop or order them over the telephone +44 (0) 333 8000 808.

From the date you receive your goods you have 7 days to decide whether or not you would like to keep them. You must notify us within the 7 day period via email or phone so we know to expect the returned items. If it is a watch you are returning within the 7 days then Schofield will pay for the return postage if you live within the UK.

A full refund will be given including shipping costs when the watch arrives at our address. Funds will be credited to the original account used for purchase. We will keep you informed via email of the process. International customers must cover return shipping. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs on accessories. All items must be returned in the original packaging with all papers, tags and protective films in place and must show no signs of wear or use. Really, no signs of use. We are tough on this.


 


 

 

Warranties

 

Schofield watches are manufactured by the worlds leading watchmakers and engineers. All our watches must pass strict testing and quality control before they ship. We take great pride in building solid and robust watches that will last for generations to come. In the unlikely event that your watch develops a problem then please return it to us, for inspection and remedy. For further information on the Warranty provided with your Schofield watch, please refer to our Terms of business (here).

Your Schofield watch is covered by a 2 year limited international warranty from the date of delivery. The warranty covers material defects and faults in craftsmanship. The warranty does not cover defects caused by improper use, nor does it cover regular wear from everyday use. Non Schofield modifications and third party repair of any kind will void the warranty. If the case back is opened the warranty is void.

Close up photos of the movements are found in the Gallery and on our Schofield flickr pages. All Schofield limited warranties are fully transferable. To have a watch repaired under warranty, we recommend that you contact us first, so we can advise you on the nearest service centre. Please include a detailed description of the problem and your contact details. We will contact you when the watch arrives with our assessment and time frame for repair. Please note that Schofield is not responsible for the cost of shipping, nor the liability of the watch during shipping to the service centre.


 


 

 

Watch care

 

  • Clean with warm soapy water
  • Do not exceed water depths of 500 metres, 48 atm, 49 bar, 1640 feet or 273 fathoms
  • Do not exceed magnetic field strengths of 4800 A/m or 60 Oe (ISO 764Horology)
  • Avoid temperature extremes, keep your watch on
  • Do not expose to chemicals, wash immediately
  • Do not exceed a free-fall drop greater than 1 metre onto a hard surface.(3 kg hammer with an impact velocity of 4.43 m/s.) (ISO 1413 Horology)

Schofield Watch Company manufactures watches of superior quality and robustness. The Signalman watch collection are over engineered to endure for many decades, this is reflected in the 500 metre depth rating, extra thick sapphire crystals, screw down case backs, anti-magnetic movement holders, screw in crowns, screw in strap bars and large screw in stainless steel buckles. The Soprod movements are also of the highest quality manufactured with strict tolerances and attention to detail. Mechanical movements of any kind need periodic servicing.
